Jason Hughson: Operations
Jason stands as the cornerstone of 3 Feathers Aquaculture, bringing nearly 30 years of unparalleled experience in the Great Lakes freshwater aquaculture industry.  Jason pioneered the development of the first and only cage site on Lake Superior and has played a crucial role in day-to-day operations across multiple fish farms in Georgian Bay. His leadership in implementing third-party certification standards and conducting rigorous environmental compliance measures highlights his commitment to sustainable and responsible aquaculture practices. Jason’s extensive hands-on experience and deep understanding of the aquaculture ecosystem make him the driving force behind the operational excellence of 3 Feathers Aquaculture.

Craig Hughson: Strategy
Craig brings a long resume of experiences in government, politics, and public affairs, honed over nearly two decades of service at Queen’s Park and various roles in the private sector. A member of Batchewana First Nation, but Craig grew up overlooking Manitowaning Bay. Craig’s career has been marked by his ability to navigate complex policy files and his strategic acumen in media and public relations. His understanding of the political landscape and his ability to engage effectively with different stakeholders are critical in positioning 3 Feathers Aquaculture within regulatory frameworks and securing favorable public and government support.

Daniel Wassengeso: The Community Anchor
Born and raised a short hike to the shores of Manitowaning Bay in Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, Daniel Wassengeso brings a deep understanding of community and sustainable development. Daniel has earned two social work diplomas, and has put in 32 years of dedicated service to his community, including a term on Band Council. Daniel’s role ensures that 3 Feathers Aquaculture aligns with local values and fosters community engagement, making him an essential leader in promoting social responsibility and sustainable practices.
